Wisdom Teeth and Hamburgers

I just got back from taking Caden to get his wisdom teeth out this morning.  He had to get all four out and he did great with no problems at all!  I just had to blog this so I wouldn't forget.
We went into the room where the procedure would be happening and they prepared Caden to get the IV to knock him out.  The doctor left the room and Caden was laughing saying he didn't think it would work.  After about 30 seconds he was flying high!  He asked me to come close to him so he could talk to me.  I walked over and he looked up and asked "Mom, Will you buy me a hamburger after we are done?"  It was all I could do to not laugh - if you know Caden then you know of his love for hamburgers!  Classic!  I love that kid!

School Schedules

So, the kid's school schedules came in the mail yesterday.  They have (not so patiently) been waiting for these since I turned in their registration info almost two weeks ago!  Phone calls, house visits, and Facebook postings were made in an attempt to see what friends had the same classes as they did.
I wish my only worry was to see who I had classes with!  Luckily, they were happy with the teachers they will have during the school year so smiles all around! :).  One more week of summer left!

Fort Bridger

A couple of weeks ago,  I took Friday off of work so we could take a quick day trip up past Evanston, WY to visit Fort Bridger.  We went with Dustin's parents and our nephew Austin.  I had never been there before and it is always nice to take in a site with some historical background.
Fort Bridger was originally a fur trading outpost est. in 1842 by Jim Bridger.  It was taken over by the Mormons in 1855 and in 1858 the Army established a military post there during the Utah War until it closed in 1890.  It is now called the Fort Bridger Historical Site.  Several original buildings remain and have been restored.  There is also a museum that holds many artifacts, from different time periods, of the fort history.
We had a fun time.  Just simple, quality family time.  We all had packed a picnic lunch and the Fort has a cute covered picnic table area that we sat at.
