Dustin and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary on April 27th. It is kind of weird to think we have been married half of our life! :). We were soooo young getting married at 20 but it was the best decision we ever made!
Dustin gave me a dozen red roses and BEAUTIFUL diamond necklace. I was very surprised and very touched. I gave him tickets for us to see Peter Frampton at Red Butte Gardens this August. Peter Frampton is one of his favorite artists so I was happy to see he was giving a concert here. Dustin thought it was an awesome gift! My Mom and Dad took the kids and we stayed overnight at the Little America and had a wonderful dinner at their steak house. So, all in all we had a great anniversary!
Marriage is the one of the most important decisions you make in your life. It has ups and downs through your journey together. One day you can be laughing over a joke, a funny face or a good movie. The next day you can be crying because of an argument, a loss in your life, or a happy cry when your children are born.
I will be the first to admit that our life is not perfect every single day but we love each other, have a strong committment towards each other, have two wonderful kids together, have great families, and we can't imagine not being together for the rest of our lives.
Having a place to go is HOME - Having someone to love is FAMILY - Having both is a BLESSING -

SURPRISE!
My siblings and I decided to throw my parents a "Surprise" Happy 60th Birthday and 40th Wedding Anniversary Party! They are pretty much the best parents in the world so we thought it would be fun to get family and friends together for a little celebration at my house! I wish I could post all the pictures because they are all so cute but here are a few to browse over. . .

Surprise for Mom and Dad
My parents celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary a few weeks ago! They are such good parents and a great example for all us. We had family pictures taken in September and we had been waiting for them to come back from the photographer. (* Just a note that Highlite photography, located in Gardner Village, are just way awesome! They were wonderful to work with.).
In my parents living room was our last family portrait and grandkids pictures surrounding it on one of the walls. But only half of the grandkids were up because when more came along my mom didn't have anymore matching frames.
So as a surprise Anniversary present, the siblings decided to makeover my parent's living room while they were in St. George last week. I worked with Mindy at Highlite to see if the portraits would be done in time and told her our secret plans.
The pictures came in while the parents were gone so Tara and I re-arranged pretty much everything in the room and a big thanks to Brian (Tara's husband) for helping us hang the pictures. My parents came home and were sooo thrilled to see everything hung up on the wall. They have done so much for us that it made us happy to do something for them in return. We love you Mom and Dad and here is to many more great years together!
(My pictures below aren't that great but they give you the general idea)
